Who is the pharmacist Pilar Aguiló: Queen Letizia's greatest support in Mallorca

Pilar Aguiló, 49 years old, is married to musician Jaime Anglada, one of King Felipe VI's best friends

The Spanish royal family are "getting ready" to spend their vacation in Palma de Mallorca. For years, Queen Letizia (Oviedo, 1972) has "set the agenda" and has built her own circle of friends in the Mallorcan capital. This "unknown" group includes a Balearic pharmacist namedPilar Aguiló (Palma de Mallorca, 1976).

But how did the bond between Pilar Aguiló and Queen Letizia form?

Pilar Aguiló, the Greatest Support for Queen Letizia in Mallorca

On August 6, 2024, passersby walking through the historic center of Palma de Mallorca witnessed a "surprise appearance." That day, Queen Letizia visited the area around Plaza Mayor in the Balearic capital. She did so together with Queen Sofía and her daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.

During their walk, they stopped at "Nutrición Activa," a pharmacy located on carrer de Velázquez. This stop was very significant because the owner of this establishment is pharmacist Pilar Aguiló, one of Queen Letizia's closest friends.

It's "common knowledge" that Queen Letizia is passionate about dietetics and nutrition. Well, Pilar Aguiló is, in addition to being a pharmacist, a nutritionist. That's why her profession would have brought her even closer to Queen Letizia.

The monarch has found in Pilar great support during the days she spends in Mallorca, an island with which Queen Letizia would keep a "love-hate" relationship.

Pilar is just another Balearic neighbor and people say she's "a very normal woman." Perhaps, for this reason, Queen Letizia has found in the pharmacist the "best escape route" away from the aristocratic friendships and high society connections of Felipe VI.

Her Story with Jaime Anglada, One of King Felipe VI's Closest Friends

The relationship between Pilar Aguiló and Queen Letizia was forged thanks to their husbands. Pilar is married to musician Jaime Anglada, one of King Felipe VI's closest friends. Their relationship began more than two decades ago and the friendship that was forged between them hasn't been broken over time.

Jaime Anglada and Pilar Aguiló are one of the couples closest to the royals. They're also one of the most discreet in social chronicles. There are no details about their wedding celebration. All that's known is that they live in the Mallorcan capital with their children Jaume and Julia.

People say that Queen Letizia has devoted herself to Pilar Aguiló's daughter, who has a disability.

The bond is so close that the couple often visit Son Vent, the residence where the Spanish royal family stays. Likewise, the monarchs also never miss their appointment at the various concerts Anglada usually gives in Palma.

Both couples usually meet at the traditional reception for Balearic society that the royals host every summer at Marivent Palace. They also share dinners, concerts, and a complicity that delights Queen Letizia.

A Very Discreet Pharmacist

It is known that Pilar Aguiló was born in Palma de Mallorca in 1976. Although she shares the same last name as Ramón Aguiló, one of Palma's mayors, it's unknown whether they have any family relationship.

However, a photograph published on the profile of Mallorcan artist Mangel Aguiló in which the pharmacist appears alongside Jaime Anglada and architect Miguel Ángel Aguiló has raised some doubts about the type of kinship that might exist between them.

As Elcierredigital .com has confirmed, both the sculptor and the architect are two of the profiles followed by the account of the pharmacy managed by Pilar herself.

In 1994, the Mallorcan began a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Barcelona, which she completed five years later. With the arrival of the 2000s, she began her professional career in various pharmacies located in Palma.

In December 2015, Aguiló decided to take another step in her career. It was then that she founded "Nutrición Activa", a pharmacy and dietetics store. Among the products they sell are dietary supplements, organic cosmetics, and nutritional supplements.

People say that Pilar Aguiló is a very discreet figure. She keeps her Instagram profile private. Her public appearances are rare. She has attended charity concerts or events such as the celebration of the 20th anniversary of El Corte Inglés in Mallorca.

It's important to mention that Queen Letizia isn't the only member of Aguiló's circle of friends. This circle also includes actress and singer Carolina Cerezuela because, together with the pharmacist's husband, she formed the musical duo "Anglada Cerezuela."

There is one month left before the Spanish royal family arrives in Palma de Mallorca, their preferred vacation destination. Once again, Queen Letizia will reunite with Pilar Aguiló, who represents the "simple environment" where the monarch has found a close and discreet refuge.
