Albert of Monaco's sister packs her bags and leaves, but she's not alone

Caroline of Monaco crosses the Atlantic Ocean, accompanied by her young daughter, Alexandra von Hannover

Princess Caroline of Monaco made a quick trip to Havana that combined culture, diplomacy, and very personal memories. During two intense days, Grace Kelly's daughter showed a very versatile style. Her 'mix & match' suitcase alternated between the elegance of Chanel and boho garments, including a dress designed by her daughter-in-law.

She was accompanied by her youngest daughter, Alexandra von Hannover, and Ben-Sylvester Strautmann, Alexandra's boyfriend and already part of the Grimaldi family. Together they participated in various activities focused on supporting local culture. One of the highlights was the presentation of the Monte Carlo Ballet at the National Theater with the play Core Meo:for that occasion, Caroline chose a light and fresh outfit.

Family design and top-level details

The dress with which Caroline of Monaco made an impact in Cuba is the work of her daughter-in-law Tatiana Santo Domingo, co-founder of Muzungu Sisters. It is the Roxana Batik Diamante model, a silk maxi dress with short sleeves, a notch collar, and front buttons. The design features an elastic back and a waist tie.

Although the official price is around 587 euros, it seems the princess adjusted the length a bit for greater comfort. She completed the look with black sandals with comfortable heels and a Chanel bag. This ensemble was also chosen to visit the Oswaldo Guayasamín house museum, where she donated a portrait of herself as a young woman that belonged to her father, Prince Rainier.

More styles for a diverse agenda

It wasn't the only dress Caroline of Monaco wore during her stay. At the Cubadisco Festival ceremony, where she received an honorary award for the Monte Carlo Ballet, she chose a light dress with a botanical print. She paired it with camel-colored strappy sandals, an unusual footwear choice for her, as she usually prefers low and comfortable heels.

For the official meeting with the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, Caroline opted for a much more sober and comfortable style: black pants and a blue jersey. This meeting marked the institutional character of the trip, with the aim of strengthening diplomatic relations between Cuba and Monaco.

A symbolic gesture and a visit full of significance

In the meeting with Díaz-Canel, the president presented the princess with a bouquet of red and white roses, in homage to Monaco's flag. Although the specific details of the conversation did not emerge, the gesture and the meeting highlight the importance of this visit. Caroline of Monaco combined fashion, culture, and diplomacy in Cuba with a suitcase full of contrasts that reflect her versatility and commitment.
