Concern for the Health of King Harald of Norway

The first warning sign emerged in March 2024, when King Harald had to be urgently hospitalized while enjoying a vacation. A severe infection required his immediate transfer to Oslo, where doctors detected serious cardiac complications.

A few days later, the monarch underwent surgery to have a pacemaker implanted after being diagnosed with a concerning drop in heart rate. While the sovereign struggled to recover his health, new scandals shook the foundations of the monarchy.
