Journalist Jordi Gutiérrez is married to Andrea Carucci, who is Queen Letizia's personal nutritionist
Changes within the Spanish Royal Household keep coming. The latest has been the departure of Jordi Gutiérrez Roldán (Barcelona, 1959) as director of the Royal Household's Communications Department, as exclusively reported by Elcierredigital.com. The position left by the Barcelona-born communicator will be filled by journalist Rosa Lerchundi Ariceta (San Sebastián, 1965), who has so far served as head of national news at Telecinco's news programs.

It is worth noting that the Catalan communicator was one of Queen Letizia's closest figures. He was also one of the "trusted men" of what is known as the "camarilla" of King Felipe VI's wife.
Jordi Gutiérrez leaves the Royal Household's Communications Department
Journalist Jordi Gutiérrez Roldán has "closed" a chapter at the Zarzuela Palace. He did so when diplomat Camilo Villarino completed one year as head of the Royal Household, in which, according to sources close to the monarchy cited by Elcierredigital.com, "Villarino has undertaken a restructuring."
According to our newspaper, "one of the changes Camilo Villarino wanted to make was to dismiss Jordi Gutiérrez Roldán." Since 2014, Gutiérrez Roldán had been leading the Zarzuela's Communications Department.

After leaving the Royal Household in December 2009, Jordi Gutiérrez returned to the Zarzuela Palace. This happened at a very significant moment, as in June 2014, Felipe VI and Letizia ascended to the throne after Juan Carlos I's abdication.
Since then, the Catalan became one of Queen Letizia's closest figures and "trusted men." This circumstance, according to sources close to the monarchy cited by Elcierredigital.com, "the queen would have refused to accept Gutiérrez Roldán's departure."

The monarch's refusal was not a coincidence. It is important to mention that Jordi Gutiérrez is married to Andrea Carucci, Queen Letizia's current personal nutritionist.
Gutiérrez Roldán's "comings and goings" at Zarzuela
As we have mentioned, Jordi Gutiérrez had already left his position as deputy director of media relations and communications in December 2009. It is important to mention that the Catalan joined the Royal Household in 1993. This was one of the "golden" years of Juan Carlos I's reign.
After more than ten years in the position, Jordi Gutiérrez left his post in the midst of a previous restructuring.
"After his departure, Juan Carlos I called businessman Arturo Fernández, with whom he keeps a close friendship. He did so in order for the Catalan journalist to join the Arturo Cantoblanco business group. This group was founded by Fernández himself," sources close to the monarchy reveal.

However, Jordi Gutiérrez did not start working at the hotel company. The Catalan journalist "signed" with CEIM, the Madrid Business Confederation-CEOE, as head of the communications department.
This position, according to the Royal Household's website, he keeps to this day. But everything changed in June 2014. As we have mentioned, the Catalan returned to the Zarzuela Palace. He did so as director of communications at the Royal Household's General Secretariat.
It is known that Jordi Gutiérrez was born in 1959 in Barcelona. He earned a degree in information sciences from the Autonomous University of the Ciudad Condal. He began his professional career during the Transition. Specifically, in 1977. He specialized in the political and institutional area.
He has worked in print media, radio, and television for outlets such as El Noticiero Universal, Radio Nacional de España in Catalonia, Televisión Española in Catalonia, Cadena Catalana de Radio, the newspaper Avui. Later, he was TV-3's delegate in Madrid. As we have mentioned, he later "signed" with the communications department at the Zarzuela Palace. He is once again saying goodbye to this area. In his place, journalist Rosa Lerchundi Ariceta will "take over."
But what is Rosa Lerchundi's story?
Who is Rosa Lerchundi Ariceta, the new director of the Royal Household's communications department
Born in San Sebastián in 1965 and holding a degree in journalism, Rosa Lerchundi Ariceta will end her time as head of the national section at Telecinco's news programs to take on a new institutional responsibility. Her departure marks the end of a long and solid career at Mediaset, a group she joined in 1999 as a political correspondent during former president José María Aznar's term. Since then, she has been a key figure in covering government and parliamentary activity.

She took her first professional steps in the Basque Country, at a television agency, where she began to shape her profile in the audiovisual field. In 2004, she became a parliamentary correspondent, closely following legislative activity in the Congress of Deputies, a role she held for three years. In 2007, she was appointed head of the national section, a position she has held for more than 15 years, leading coverage of the country's main political events.
