Charles III Must Make an Urgent Decision: Lady Di Would Ask Him for Clemency
Princess Diana's Wish for Prince Harry That Everyone Desires King Charles III to Fulfill
Prince Harry has spoken: he did so after one of the biggest legal setbacks of his life. His words reflect both pain and a desire to heal old wounds: he has lost his appeal against the British government over the removal of his personal security in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he will have to pay 1.5 million pounds in legal costs.
The Legal Blow and an Open Family Wound
Beyond the legal ruling, what weighs most on Harry is the distance with his father. In an interview with the BBC, visibly moved, he confessed that he hasn't spoken to King Charles III for months. He added: “I don't know how much time he has left, and he doesn't speak to me about the security issue.”

The Duke expressed his desire for reconciliation with his family: “Life is short, it makes no sense to keep being at odds, I would love to be on good terms again,” he said sincerely. Even so, he lamented that his current situation prevents him from returning with his wife Meghan Markle and their children to the United Kingdom. “I love my country, I always have, but I can't imagine bringing my family here under these conditions,” he confessed.
The Origin of the Conflict and the Judicial Ruling
Since he resigned from his royal duties in 2020, Harry lost automatic access to the security provided by the Crown. He requested a personalized review, arguing that he remains a high-risk target. But the court considered that his “sense of injustice” was not enough to justify his claim.
Worse still for him was discovering that the committee determining his level of protection included members of the royal family itself. “After five years, every visit to the United Kingdom depends on that instance, where other interests are prioritized over ours,” he declared.

He assumes that the judicial route has been exhausted. But he still intends to send a letter to the Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, requesting an urgent review of the Ravec committee. He will also seek support from Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Charles III Upset and Buckingham Silent
The reaction from Buckingham Palace has been minimal: a brief message indicated that the courts had already reviewed all the arguments “meticulously.” But according to sources close to the king, Charles III is “very upset” by what he considers a new breach of the family discretion code. Harry, meanwhile, admits that the wounds remain open.
“It's the only point of conflict left with my family, but it has become a wall difficult to tear down,” he stated. He even showed self-criticism: “I know some will never forgive me for the book, nor for many other things,” he said, alluding to Spare, his controversial memoirs.
Even so, he doesn't close doors: “I have forgiven, it hurts not to be able to show my country to my children.” The interview was published just on the tenth birthday of his niece Charlotte. A symbolic day that highlights the enormous emotional distance that now exists between Harry and the Windsors.
