Alarms go off at Albert of Monaco's home because of his sister Caroline
The princess of the Grimaldi saga puts the clan on alert with something completely unexpected
The European royal family usually shines for its elegance and tradition, but it also hides personal conflicts. Caroline of Monaco and her daughter Alexandra von Hannover are at the center of a well-known controversy following the hospitalization of Ernst von Hannover, their husband and father, respectively. Unlike what was desired, both keep their distance and continue with their activities without showing public concern, which has caused many doubts.
Distance marked by years of tensions
For a long time, Caroline and Ernst have led separate lives. The physical separation dates back to 2009, after years of disagreements and "they never understood each other," according to the French press. Psychologist Lara Ferreiro interprets this distance as an emotional defense against unsolved wounds.

An emotional protection mechanism
Ferreiro explains that "both Caroline of Monaco and her daughter Alexandra follow an emotional line that hasn't healed." The coldness they show hides "a very deep unsolved emotional wound," a common defense mechanism in families with trauma. The expert emphasizes that the glamour of European dynasties often hides painful realities and family conflicts.
The impact of Caroline's past on Alexandra
The princess has experienced complicated episodes related to Ernst's controversies. One of the most remembered was the so-called "walk of shame" at a royal wedding, when Ernst appeared in an inappropriate state. Ferreiro points out that "Caroline's tragic past has perpetuated harmful relationships and toxic behaviors" that also affect her daughter.

Alexandra's disconnection with her father
Alexandra has maintained an almost nonexistent relationship with Ernst for years. "Seeing how her mother suffers because of her father makes her distance herself from him as a defense mechanism," the psychologist notes. This distancing is conscious and has marked the course of her life.
Alexandra's internal struggle
With a reserved character, Alexandra is the most unknown of Caroline's children. Unlike her siblings, she faces a different struggle: the abandonment and absence of her father. Lara Ferreiro says: "Ernst von Hannover is an absent and conflictive parent, and that as a daughter causes you a lot of pain."

A symbolic change and family rupture
When she turned 18, Alexandra renounced her Protestant faith to embrace Catholicism, breaking with the von Hannover dynasty. This decision left her out of the line of succession to the British throne, unlike her father and older siblings. Ferreiro states that this distancing is the result of "accumulated trauma and a negative emotional memory marked by absence."
An uncertain and painful future
The psychologist warns that Alexandra faces a constant struggle between the pain for her father's health and the accumulated resentment. "It's an exhausting situation, especially for a young woman of just 25 years," she explains. Ernst's death could trigger a deep emotional and identity crisis for her.
