Sam's Club sends a last-minute message to its members: It's here already

The retail chain confirms to its customers that what they so desired has arrived in the United States

In the United States, competition among retail chains is becoming increasingly intense and fierce, and in order to keep their place in the market, companies must constantly innovate in their strategies. The ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the public is key to keeping their position in such a dynamic market. That's why every detail and innovation can make the difference between success and losing customers.

Now, Sam’s Club has taken an important step to improve its position in the U.S. market against Costco. The chain announced two new features that are already generating great interest: the sale of whole pizzas to go and a curbside pickup system. In addition, it extended the hours of its food area to provide more convenience for its customers.

Pizzas To Go and Curbside Pickup

One of the most desired new features is the addition of whole pizzas to go, a frequent request from Sam’s Club members. Although the exact price hasn't been confirmed yet, it is estimated to be around $10, which makes it a very competitive option compared to the pizza offered by Costco. However, the main difference lies in the way customers can purchase them.

While at Costco customers must wait in line inside the food area, Sam’s Club makes the process easier with orders through its mobile app. This offers the possibility to pick up the pizza directly from the car with its curbside pickup service. This innovation eliminates waiting and provides valuable convenience for those who have little time.

Extended Hours for More Flexibility

Another improvement from Sam's Club that has been very well received is the extension of the food area's hours, which now match the store's general hours. Previously, this area closed earlier, limiting the possibility of buying snacks such as pretzels, hot dogs, or pizzas.

Although some employees have expressed concern about the increased workload that this extension implies, for customers it means greater freedom to take advantage of the service. More time to enjoy Sam’s Club's food offerings is undoubtedly a plus in such a competitive market.

A Clear Strategy to Compete With Costco

With these moves, Sam’s Club improves the experience of its members and issues a direct challenge to Costco. In the warehouse club sector, every detail counts to win and retain customers. The to-go pizza service, combined with curbside pickup and extended hours, can be decisive factors in attracting new shoppers.

The competition between these two U.S. chains is intensifying, and Sam’s Club seems determined to strengthen its appeal with groundbreaking innovations designed for today's consumer. This effort aims to consolidate its leadership and meet the expectations of those who seek speed and quality.
