Goodbye McDonald’s: Burger King launches a shower of gifts in the United States
Burger King Launches Massive Promotions for Its 71st Anniversary in the United States
Fast food chain Burger King is celebrating its 71st anniversary with an unprecedented promotional campaign in the United States. Throughout June, the company has offered a series of free products, tied to commemorative dates and loyalty strategies.
The campaign launch took place on June 1, with a promotion that offered a free Whopper with any purchase of $3 or more. This was the first of several actions designed to attract consumers to their digital platforms.

Promotions Linked to Key Dates
Throughout the month, Burger King has implemented various special offers. On June 4, as part of National Cheese Day, the first promotion arrived. Customers could receive a free serving of Mozzarella Fries (four pieces) with purchases starting at $1.
On June 15, Father's Day in the United States, the chain offered a "Buy One, Get One" (BOGO) promotion for its flagship product, the Whopper. Users who bought one burger could receive an additional one at no cost, all day long.
Another notable date is June 22, when National Onion Ring Day is celebrated. Burger King confirmed that they will offer free onion rings of any size to all users registered in their rewards program.
Offer Active Throughout June
In addition to the specific promotions, the company keeps a two-for-one offer on the Impossible Whopper active throughout the month. This plant-based burger is part of the vegetarian menu options the company has incorporated in recent years.

The promotion is available until June 30 and includes both in-store and online orders. However, users must use the official Burger King app or website.
Requires Registration in Royal Perks
All promotions are available exclusively for users of the Royal Perks program. This loyalty system allows users to accumulate points for each purchase and access additional discounts.
To participate, users must register through the chain's mobile app or website. Each promotion may have minimum purchase requirements and specific conditions.
Digital Acquisition Strategy
According to industry analysts, the campaign aims to increase participation in the brand's digital channels. The mandatory use of the app to redeem offers seeks to boost the number of registered users and frequency of use.
"It's a clear acquisition and loyalty strategy. Burger King prioritizes direct contact with the consumer, especially through mobile," explained Mark Levinson, marketing consultant for fast food chains.
Comparison with the Competition
So far, chains such as McDonald's, Wendy's, or Taco Bell haven't replied with similar campaigns. This has caused a positive perception toward Burger King on social media, where users have shared their experiences with the promotions.
Some preliminary data indicate an increase in foot traffic to locations during the first days of June, although the company hasn't published official figures.
Anniversary with Promotional Focus
Burger King was founded in 1954 in Miami, Florida. Since then, it has grown to become one of the largest fast food chains in the world. On this anniversary, the company is betting on a high-impact strategy based on direct benefits for the consumer.
The promotions will remain active until June 30. The company recommends checking the official app to verify availability, conditions, and dates for each offer.
