McDonald's Responds With Its Desired Snack Wrap

McDonald's is responding to the demands of its loyal followers with the return of its famous Snack Wrap, a dish that has been absent from its menus since 2016. This wrap will return to McDonald's kitchens with a new feature: it will be made with McCrispy strips, recently launched in May. The wrap will be available in two flavors, Spicy and Ranch, which promises to satisfy both spicy food lovers and those who prefer something milder. The return of this snack is a direct response to consumer requests, who have missed it since its removal.

Popeyes Launches Its Own Version With a Unique Touch

Popeyes didn't fall behind. In a move that makes the competition even tougher, Popeyes introduced three new chicken wraps, with the promise of being available for a limited time. According to Amy Alarcon, Vice President of Culinary Innovation at Popeyes, the idea was to create a wrap that was "unequivocally Popeyes," achieving a unique flavor for fried chicken fans.

These wraps include chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese, and pickles, with options for Classic, Spicy, or Honey Mustard sauce. The new offering arrives at a key moment for Popeyes, which continues to establish itself as one of the most popular chicken chains in the U.S.

This move by McDonald's and Popeyes has put KFC under pressure. Although KFC remains the king of fried chicken, chicken wraps are quickly winning over consumers. Fast food chains have raised the bar and it seems the chicken giant will have to catch up with new trends.
