Statement from the Royal Household about King Felipe: it will happen in a few hours and it's important
This very morning, King Felipe is going to receive a very important visit at the Royal Palace of Madrid
There has been great anticipation surrounding the latest and revealing statement issued by Casa Real regarding King Felipe. In just a few hours, the monarch is scheduled to preside over an important social event.
Over the past two weeks, the respective institutional agendas of Spain's current monarchs have been filled with all kinds of events. On one hand, we have seen the monarchs visiting the areas most affected by wildfires.

However, their commitments haven't been limited solely to this natural disaster. In fact, this Thursday, September 11, Queen Letizia was responsible for inaugurating the 3rd International Congress on Human Trafficking. This event was organized in Madrid by the Betania Association.
Additionally, as if that weren't enough, King Felipe and his wife are immersed in preparations for their first state visit to Egypt. This visit will begin on September 16, one day after the monarch's birthday, and will end on the 19th of the same month.

While waiting for this significant meeting to take place, this Friday, September 12, the monarch will preside over an important institutional event at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
In just a few hours, King Felipe will meet with the new ambassadors of Argentina, Angola, Senegal, Guatemala, Switzerland, and Iceland to receive their Letters of Credence.

This official meeting will take place at the historic headquarters of the Spanish capital, fulfilling one of the most relevant diplomatic ceremonies on the institutional calendar. This event reaffirms the importance of international relations and the protocol that Spain keeps with different nations.
This time, King Felipe will be responsible for welcoming the diplomats who will represent their respective countries before the Spanish State. During the day, the monarch will receive the documents that accredit them as the highest authorities of their missions in Madrid.

Among the new ambassadors presenting their Letters is Wenceslao Bunge Saravia, representative of the Argentine Republic. Balbina Malheiros Dias da Silva will also participate, acting as ambassador of the Republic of Angola. Ibrahim Al Khalil Seck will do the same on behalf of the Republic of Senegal.
Likewise, Jorge Skinner-Klée Arenales will attend, appointed as head of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Guatemala. The turn will also correspond to Heinrich Schellenberg, new ambassador of the Swiss Confederation. Finally, Kristján Andri Stefánsson will officially assume his post as ambassador of the Republic of Iceland.
The Letters of Credence constitute an official document that grants each ambassador the status of legitimate spokesperson for their government in Spain. This ceremony, led by the head of state, has been continuously practiced since the 18th century and is characterized by its solemnity.
