Last-minute notice from the SSA about these payments in the USA: Only a few days left
The United States Social Security has sent a clear message to millions of Americans in the past few hours
The United States Social Security Administration has just issued an important notice for millions of people who receive Social Security benefits. This last-minute notice is related to the payments scheduled for this week. If you're waiting for your payment, this is relevant to you.
Pay Attention: SSA Confirms Payment for Wednesday, July 9
Beneficiaries whose date of birth falls between the 1st and 10th of any month will see their deposit on the second Wednesday of the month, which in July is this Wednesday, the 9th. For those born from the 11th to the 20th, the payment day will be Wednesday, the 16th, and for those born from the 21st to the 31st, Wednesday, July 23.

In addition, those who started receiving benefits before May 1, 1997, have a fixed date, between the 1st and 3rd of each month. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries received their payment on Tuesday, July 1.
How to Formally Apply? SSA Responds
To receive your payment, you only need to have your "my Social Security" account active, properly set up, and your direct deposit updated. If you don't use the platform yet, go to SSA.gov, choose "Sign In/Sign Up," and verify your identity. You can also create it by phone or at a local office.
If you don't receive your deposit on the scheduled date, wait at least three business days. Then check with your bank, and if it still doesn't appear, contact SSA at 1‑800‑772‑1213 or visit a local office.
SSA's Warning About These Payments
SSA reminds you that if you received an overpayment and haven't agreed to a repayment, they'll begin withholding up to 50% of your benefit each month. You can submit a waiver request if repayment is impossible for you or you believe you weren't responsible for the error.

This process begins with a form available on the SSA website, in the claims or overpayments section. This Wednesday will be key for many beneficiaries; check your date of birth, make sure your "my Social Security" account is active, and review withholdings.
If you have questions, submit an appeal or waiver before July 16 or 23 for those upcoming payments. Stay informed to better protect your income.
