Millions of Americans are waiting for a payment that represents a breath of fresh air to start the summer

The United States Social Security Administration (SSA) has sent an important notice about payments to millions of beneficiaries. This message affects many people, and you could be one of those beneficiaries. 

SSA has confirmed that all SSI beneficiaries will receive their payment by direct deposit today, Tuesday, July 1, 2025. This is a relevant notice because this program is characterized by always being issued on the first day of each month, regardless of the date of birth.

This returns to normal after June's payment was moved up because the 1st fell on a weekend. People who receive SSI, such as older adults, people with disabilities, or those with low incomes, are included. They represent about 7.4 million beneficiaries in the US.

They also receive payment from the additional SSI deposit, if applicable, as happened in August and December due to holidays or weekends. In addition, those who combine SSI with other benefits or started collecting before May 1997 will receive a second payment on Thursday, July 3.

Payment Conditions: Take Note For Your Own Good

To receive this money, it's key that you have direct deposit set up. SSA will not send paper checks starting from an upcoming date, along with the gradual elimination of these. You must not earn more than the allowed limit for SSI, about $2,019 per month in work income.
